Process

Our process is designed for people looking for a transparent, non-salesy approach to crafting a strategy that will help them achieve their financial goals. In other words, real planning–not planning for the sake of selling something.

If this describes you, you owe it to yourself to check out our process. There is no cost or obligation to get started. We want you to know exactly how we can help you– before you pay us a single penny in fees.


STEP 1 – INITIAL PHONE CALL

This is a 15 minute introductory phone call that will give us a chance to get to know each other. We want to make sure your situation matches our expertise so that our services will bring you massive value.

There is no charge for this initial consultation.

If we aren’t a good fit for each other we are happy to suggest a few alternatives that might better suit your needs.


STEP 2 – CONSULT

This meeting is also conducted at no-charge and should take about 45 minutes. You can choose to meet with us via Zoom, or we can arrange to meet face-to-face at our offices.

This meeting should help you to answer the following questions:

  • Do you really need to hire a financial advisor?
  • Do you believe that CONA Wealth advisors are trustworthy and competent?
  • Do you believe that working with us can help you achieve your financial goals?

At the same time, this meeting will allow us to determine if you are a good fit for our services. As a true advisory firm–and not a sales office for financial products–we don’t work with everybody. By being selective, we are better able to deliver massive value to our clients.

If we mutually agree that working together would be beneficial, we will make an offer to welcome you as a new client. We will explain how we charge for our services, answer any questions that you might have, and tell you what you can expect moving forward as a CONA Wealth client.


STEP 3 – CREATE

In this step we will first gather, organize and analyze your important financial information. Once we have had an opportunity to review everything, we will meet to discuss your specific needs, wants, and wishes as they relate to your financial plans. This meeting can take place via Zoom or face-to-face as you desire.

We will work together with you to create a financial strategy designed to help you achieve your financial goals. The focus will be on five major areas of financial planning, including: estate planning, risk management, tax planning, retirement income planning, and investment planning. Each client is different, so the amount of time spent in each area will vary.

When this step is completed, you will have a detailed financial plan as well as our one-page executive summary that highlights your current situation and the steps needed to put your plans into action.


STEP 4 – CONSIDER

At this meeting (Zoom or face-to-face) we will review your financial strategy with you in as much detail as you would like. Our review will be guided by the one-page executive summary and supported by the detailed financial plan that we have created for you.

Once your financial plan is completed to your satisfaction we will ask you to submit payment. We do not charge a planning fee in advance–we want our clients to be happy with the work that we have done before we get paid.

After reviewing your financial plan, you have the option of continuing as a client, allowing our team to begin the process of implementing the recommendations that we have outlined.

You are, or course, free to choose another course of action, though most clients do choose to implement their strategies with us.


STEP 5 – IMPLEMENTATION

If you choose to allow us to help you implement the financial strategies that we have included with your financial plan we will begin the process of completing any paperwork that might be required.

Every care will be taken to make the implementation process as smooth and trouble-free as possible.


STEP 6 – ONGOING PLANNING

Clients of CONA Wealth receive ongoing financial planning services. This includes two review meetings per year, one in April/May and one in October/November. Each of these meetings will have a clear agenda, and you can always add topics of discussion to the list as needed.

In addition, you have ongoing access to our expertise to help with important financial decisions. We are a comprehensive financial planning and wealth management firm, so our advice isn’t limited to your investments. Our clients are encouraged to contact us with any important financial topics that need to be discussed.
